About

Rachael H. Mundy MS CCC-SLP, CNT, CNTMC

I'm Rachael, a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist dedicated to helping families navigate and overcome the challenges of feeding disorders. Armed with a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and backed by 8 years of clinical experience specializing in feeding, I bring a unique perspective to my work. As a preemie parent myself, having faced the journey of a child with a feeding disorder, I intimately understand the trauma that parents experience in the NICU.

My commitment to professional growth is reflected in my continuous education in feeding practices. I'm not just a certified neonatal therapist; I've spent over five and a half years in the NICU, specifically working with infants facing complex medical needs, born as early as 33 weeks and up to 3 months of age. My focus extends beyond traditional speech therapy, specializing in the assessment and treatment of infant feeding disorders and pediatric dysphagia.

What truly sets me apart is my role as a Responsive Feeding Therapist. I'm dedicated to allowing children to have autonomy with feeding, a philosophy rooted in my personal and professional experiences. As someone who has walked the path of being a preemie parent with a child facing feeding difficulties, I am deeply committed to creating a positive and empowering feeding experience for both the child and their family.

My commitment to family-centered specialized care is unwavering. By fostering effective communication skills and feeding techniques right from the beginning of life, I aim to create a nurturing environment for infants and their families.
